Guideline for parts list with manufacturing progress

The parts list with manufacturing progress is structured similarly to a "normal" parts list. The special feature here is that it shows the manufacturing progress of the individual parts when used correctly. The added value lies in an improved flow of information and corresponding project transparency.

There is no automatic feedback; this must therefore come from the respective employee.

As already described in the Guideline for detailed machine planning with Microsoft Outlook, this approach serves as an introduction to a digitalized overview of the projects.

It is also important to note that this procedure was developed internally and is not subject to maintenance. Use is also at your own risk.

The described guideline can be used for initial configuration.

Please check and adapt the formatting as necessary for any customer adaptations.

Multiple users can access an Excel file at the same time. This procedure can be helpful to ensure smooth processing.

    For details, see: https://support.office.com/de-de/article/gleichzeitiges-bearbeiten-von-excel-arbeitsmappen-mit-der-gemeinsamen-dokumenterstellung-7152aa8b-b791-414c-a3bb-3024e46fb104

All fields containing an action have an "explanatory note". This is indicated by a red triangle at the top right of the affected cell.

The affected users must also be instructed, as the parts list has no automatic self-monitoring function.

    1.

Open the Excel document and switch to the Config worksheet

    2.

Rows 1 - 20 are for detailed machine planning with Microsoft Outlook and do not have to be changed. If the Tebis Consulting Outlook Tool is also used, see the corresponding description in the "Guideline for detailed machine planning with Microsoft Outlook".

    3.

Lines 23 to 30 are for the names of the respective employees. In the example, these are project managers, designers and programmers. These can be adapted individually.

    4.

Line 41 and below are for the processing types. These describe the work steps required to manufacture the part. Column A contains the abbreviations selected in the parts list. The processing types are similar to that in a Job Manager.

    1.

Columns A – M are classic parts list information to be filled in by the designer.

Column D, "Type", describes the part as a semi-finished product (purchased part, stock item, production part or purchased part with reworking).

In column M "E/V" column, select whether the part is a spare part or a wear part.

Column N "Delivery deadline" is usually filled in by work preparation.

    2.

The actual work preparation activity starts in column N "Delivery deadline" or O "Machining group".

Fields with a dark gray background mean that the associated work step is not required to produce the part.

The part type and group are selected in column D "Type" and column O "Processing group".

If type "purchased part" or "stock item" is selected in column D, all fields in columns O to AB in the corresponding row are grayed out. This means that no processing is necessary.

Processing steps are required for all other part types. The respective fields have a white or gray background depending on the selected processing group.

A machine on which the part is processed can be selected in column P, "Machine." If the part has to be processed on more than one machine, it is recommended that you look at the "Detailed machine planning with Microsoft Outlook" tool.

    3.

The manufacturing process now begins after the machining groups have been assigned for all parts by work preparation.

Each employee is now responsible for entering their respective status in %. Only 2 processing states can be defined in order to minimize the required effort. For example 1% work step started and 100% work step completed.

The respective employee releases the part for assembly in column AC, "Ready for assembly." The status changes to green.

The plan part(s) button is only for detailed machine planning. See the "Guideline for detailed machine planning with Microsoft Outlook"
