Project goal

• Use of the latest state-of-the-art machining tools
• No more "dead tools" in the company
• Digital storage and management of machining tools, including all components
• Transfer of defined machining tools to CAM programming 

Approach

• Analysis of existing tools and their management
• Definition of future tools → Elimination of at least 90% of HSS tools
• Definition of future machining strategies and cutting data
• Evaluation of suitable manufacturers of tool management systems, including selection
• Definition of future work methods in individual departments
• Preparation of a tool master list to enable tool setup in the CAM system 

Result

• Approx. 30% reduction in existing machining tool inventory
• Machining tools are state-of-the-art
• Digital tool management has been implemented
• Prerequisites for updating the tool library in the CAM system are fulfilled
